Eli Roberts: Week 7 in Brazil

A visit to Votorantim’s aluminum factory was another unique insight into the industrial world. I know we were there to gain a deeper appreciation of the legal aspects of the business, but it was hard not to feel like an excited child around such intriguing machinery and equipment. While we were inside one of the buildings, which was dimly lit, a truck drove by carrying a large smelting pot. You could see the heat coming off the top of the pot, including the deep red glow emitted by the heated aluminum.
