Eli Roberts: Week 8 in Brazil

Saturday evening I went to a churrasco being held for my roommate’s birthday. A churrasco is basically a barbeque, but much, much better. This time I took the time to learn how to grill the meat myself, a process which includes getting the right cuts of meat, using the right amount of seasoning (which consists solely of coarse salt), and setting the grill the right distance from the heat. Churrasco is a huge part of Brazilian social life, and I am pleased I finally understand the basics.
